    Pensi che non sia autentica?

In teoria Christie's dovrebbe essere attenta su queste cose.
Christie's mi ha rassicurato sulla bontà dell'opera! Evidentemente mi son sbagliato dunque chiedo venia!

Paul Jenkins | Three Decades: Works from the 1960s, 1970s and 2000s

Ronchini - EXPO CHICAGO - Chicago's International Exposition of Contemporary & Modern Art

Paul Jenkins | Three Decades: Works from the 1960s, 1970s and 2000s
    Navy Pier | 19-22 September 2019

“ This year and curated in collaboration with The Estate of Paul Jenkins, Ronchini Gallery will be exhibiting a selection of works from the 60s and early 70s, a period notable for the development of Jenkins’ renowned technique, particularly with regards to his use of both acrylic paint and his signature ivory knife. Some key pieces from the 2000s will also be shown, highlighting his late work. The works feature bold, undulating colors in motion that entice and entrance, which is emblematic of Jenkins’ work as a whole, he at times referred to himself as an "abstract phenomenist" and, since 1960, prefaced his titles with the word “Phenomena.”

“ Paul Jenkins was associated with the Abstract Expressionism movement and was also a friend and contemporary of many other notable artists including Jean Dubuffet, Mark Rothko, Jackson Pollock and Willem de Kooning. His work is now owned by more than 85 museums, in 10 different countries, such as MoMA, Centre Georges Pompidou, Tate London, Whitney Museum and the Stedelijk Museum, and his work continues to be exhibited extensively in notable institutions and galleries worldwide.”

P.S: " Summary of interview of Stephan Jones, Chicago & Los Angeles

What has stood out to you?

So far I’m only in the first row, but I did come across this one guy, Conrad Marca-Relli [at David Klein Gallery, Detroit], who is one of my favorite collage artists from the abstract impressionist period. I’ve always loved his work.

    Why?

I just love collage. I like when you can see their hand in the work that they’re doing. There’s just something very soulful about the work he did. He worked a lot with canvas, which I find very interesting, versus cardboard or other kinds of textures. There’s a real subtlety to it." ...
