CSEY holds a license to EcoPure®, a revolutionary second-generation proprietary and organic additive, which -- once added to a resin used to produce plastic bottle preforms which renders the plastic biodegradable.

CSEY biodegradable preforms are made of PET, HDPE and other conventional polymers, thus offering the same performance and cost effective advantages of conventional plastics.

By introducing EcoPure into the manufacturing process, Casey expects to produce truly biodegradable products that break down into harmless bio-gases and bio-mass over time in anaerobic environments, such as landfills.

This third order, along with previously announced preform orders from bottled water companies, puts Casey Container on pace to begin producing 750,000 preforms each week. The combined orders are currently valued at $3.2 million in revenue to the Company over the first year.

The EcoPure(TM) Better Than Conventional Plastics -

CSEY products are manufactured to provide the same physical properties as traditional PET plastic containers such as strength and appearance. However, once they are placed in a landfill environment, CSEY packaging solutions will biodegrade, breaking down into harmless bio-gases and bio-mass.

How do plastics biodegrade?

The EcoPure(TM) technology behind CSEY products adds nutrients and other organic compounds that weaken the polymer chain and allow microbial action to colonize in and around the plastic. The bottles are then completely metabolized, turning them into inert humus (biomass), biogas (anaerobic) or Co2 (aerobic).


When a traditional plastic bottle enters a landfill it can take thousands of years to break down, if ever.

It is estimated that more than 100 billion plastic bottles now find their way into landfills each year. Thus, rather than requiring mechanical means such as heat and light to break them down, CSEY products biodegrade in one to five years through the microbial activity in compost and landfill environments.....That is huge!

CSEY currently produces private label products for some of the largest, well known and most respected grocery chains. The intent is for Casey Container to provide cash to expand, market and distribute the Company's branded and private label products as well as produce biodegradable packaging for its products. This would make it the first company to produce healthier and environmentally friendly detergent and cleaning products packaged in a biodegradable container.

Presently biodegradable plastic can still be considered a niche market, especially in the US. It is only a matter of time before American legislation makes way for increased use of biopolymers.

The demand for biopolymer is highest in North America. The US is driving majority of the demand for biopolymers in the world. The North American demand by volume for biopolymers in 2009 was nearly 45% of the global biopolymer demand.
Biopolymers is booming in Europe, where official policy is more conducive to environmental issues. The expected global capacity growth is predicted to almost double this year.


This represents a huge emerging market for products molded using biopolymers. Already, there are many applications gaining momentum, such as packaging, bottles, caps, food containers, catering items such as cutlery, and so on.

These trends will likely increase exponentially in the near future.
