Teniamo d'occhio gli emittenti : BARCLAYS
Visto che Barclays è insieme a ABN uno degli emittenti + attivi sul Mot è giusto tenerla d'occhio per eviatre sorprese
Comincio con news appena letta su agenzie Barclays faces 17 bln stg capital deficit -C.Suisse LONDON, Jan 19 (Reuters) - Britain's Barclays <BARC.L> may end up with a capital deficit of around 17 billion pounds ($27.8 billion) as a result of new requirements set by the Basel Committee of banking regulators, Credit Suisse said on Tuesday. The comments hit Barclays shares, which fell as much as 2.8 percent and were down 1.2 percent at 313.8p at 1552 GMT. Barclays' equity Tier 1 ratio is currently 9.6 percent. However, analysts at Credit Suisse said it would drop to 5 percent under the new Basel proposals on capital requirements, which would drive up risk-weighted assets and force the bank to deduct equity minorities, deferred tax adjustments, and its stake in fund manager BlackRock <BLK.N> among other items. "An immediate move to (an equity Tier 1 ratio of) 8 percent would require 17 billion pounds of equity on our figures, although in practice the bank has up to three years to fund this gap," Credit Suisse said in a note. Analysts at the bank said Barclays should be able to manage the impact of the Basel requirements, not least because of a 2012 implementation date, which will give it time to take steps that could include selling its stake in BlackRock or buying some of the minority stake in ABSA. "In theory, therefore, it is possible that Barclays can manage the transition to the new Basel rules without an external capital raise," they said in the note. "But we believe this would require a substantial tightening of the business over the next three years, the potential disposal of BlackRock shares and the freezing or even removal of the recently reinstated dividend. In practice, restraining the bank to such an extent might not - understandably - be the preferred choice of management."
