Banks and foreign governments are mounting an increasingly desperate push against a sweeping US tax law that will force overseas institutions to report their American clients to the Internal Revenue Service.

The Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act was passed by Congress last year and comes into force in 2013. Last week, senior bank executives implored Tim Geithner, US Treasury secretary, to modify the law, according to people familiar with the meetings.

Loro ne hanno solo uno, noi qualche migliaio, e se va bene entro 18 mesi lascerà la west wing per andare in giro a tenere conferenze.

La realtà è che i carrozzoni definiti stati sono diventati la "migliore" macchina distruttrice di ricchezza che l'uomo abbia mai creato. Questo solo per mantenere in piedi strutture faraoniche, centri di spesa ridicoli e tutta un'infinita serie di privilegi per i gruppi di interesse.
Non è bastato il disastro delle politiche economiche indirizzate dagli ingegneri sociali, ora si passa alla spremitura finale per tappare con denaro privato lo scempio fatto dal pubblico.
