Visto il notevole interesse per l'argomento e dato che l'altro thread ha ormai raggiunto il limite massimo di post, da qui si inizia la parte 2

Intanto ecco gli ultimi aggiornamenti sul primo impianto da 1 MW venduto da Rossi.

I never said that the 1 MW E-Cat has been already delivered to the Customer, probably it has been a misunderstanding due to not precise translation. As I repeatedly said, the 1 MW E-Cat is still in our Bologna Factory to complete the control system upgrading we are making with National Instruments and to make modifications asked from the Customer. The plant will be delivered in the next 1, maximum 2 months.

Non ho mai detto che il 1 MW E-Cat è stato già consegnato al cliente, probabilmente è stato un malinteso dovuto alla traduzione non precisa. Come ho più volte detto, il 1 MW E-Cat è ancora nella nostra fabbrica di Bologna per completare il sistema di controllo di riqualificazione che stiamo facendo con National Instruments e ha chiesto di apportare modifiche da parte del Cliente. L'impianto sarà consegnato nei prossimi 1, massimo 2 mesi.

“Chan” Announces E-Cat Alternative

Last November a poster on the Buildecat.com site announced that a poster going by the name of Chan was working on building an E-Cat-like reactor, and went as far as to post the Chan Formula on that site. Since then, Chan has been rather quiet — until now.

I just received an email from Chan who provided me simply with a link to a site called Chan Fusion Power which provides very brief details about the design of the reactor that he is working on.

Key facts given so far are:
•10 MW plant inside a steel shipping container
•Reactor core is a steel container filled with oil electrically heated to 100 C.
•1000 10 kW cartridges housed inside the container
•Ambient temperature water is heated to 100 C via heat exchange design in reactor
•RFG input maintains heat of oil after electical input
•Cost for the reactor will be $100,000

Chan states that, “All progress will be reported on this web site. I am too busy to waste time on communications and certainly do not need publicity. This site is simply an announcement of an alternative for those planning on using low quality heat on a very large scale.”

There’s no other information to evaluate this announcement by, but I know there has been some interest in this project — if nothing else it shows that some people are taking Andrea Rossi’s claims seriously enough to try and emulate and surpass the E-Cat.

E questo prezzo è 20 volte inferiore a quello dell'impianto di Rossi (comunque anche le prestazioni sarebbero inferiori).

La concorrenza cinese comincia a farsi sentire già adesso.

Ancora? sei solo un troll che sta dando informazioni false, Rossi non prende acconti.

Domanda di oggi:
when you will be ready to deliver e-cats to people who pre-ordered, how will you manage the payments? A full payment when order confirmed, or a partial payment at confirmation and full payment when delivered?

Risposta di Rossi:
As I repeadedly said, we will give a precise scheduling regarding the deliveries in Autumn. We also will give precise offers with the payment terms. All the persons who have pre-ordered the E-Cats will be free to cancel or confirm the orders once they will receive the offers.
We are not able, now, to make the offers.

Questa grande epopea della fusione fredda ha sia grandi protagonisti, il cui lavoro è sovraesposto mediaticamente, vedi Andrea Rossi con il suo E-cat, sia gente che lavora quasi all’ombra. Personaggi che spuntano per brevi periodi per poi tornare nell’anonimato. Ma nessuno si scorda veramente di loro, perché se quello che dicono di avere in mano fosse reale, potrebbero scompaginare la storia e battere sul tempo i concorrenti più gettonati.

Vi ricorderete sicuramente di Chan, fra i vari duellanti in questa gara è forse il più simpatico. Aveva annunciato di aver trovato un modo per costruire un reattore a fusione fredda simil E-Cat e ne aveva condiviso l’esperienza via internet. L’obiettivo era quello di creare una sorta di reattore a fusione fredda open source, dove la tecnologia di base non fosse coperta né da segreto industriale, né da brevetti. Insomma, una vera rivoluzione.

Chan avrebbe continuato da allora a lavorare alla sua creatura. Da poco è stato aperto un sito, molto spartano per la verità, dove verranno descritti i vari progressi ottenuti.

Chan starebbe lavorando a un impianto di ben 10 MW. Il nucleo centrale sarebbe costituito da un container in acciaio pieno di olio portato elettricamente a 100 gradi. Se abbiamo compreso bene, sarebbe proprio questo il famoso catalizzatore capace di innescare la fusione fra idrogeno e nichel. Prezzo stimato per la costruzione del tutto: 100 mila dollari.

Ovviamente, nonostante la simpatia nei suoi confronti, anche nei confronti di Chan dobbiamo sempre ribadire come non ci sia nessuna prova che il suo lavoro sia concreto, insomma che non sia una bufala. Resta un bel sogno: un reattore a fusione fredda da 10 MW con un progetto completamente studiabile e riproducibile. Chissà cosa ne direbbe Andrea Rossi.
